Yes, you heard that right. Mashable:
Naturally Curly, the online community for people with curly hair founded in 1998, has raised $600,000 in a round of funding led by James Treybig, founder of Tandem Computers, a computer manufacturer which was bought by Compaq in 1997.
Who knew a site devoted entirely to curly hair even existed, let alone needed $600,000 to do… whatever it is they’re doing?
Dear angel investors and VCs who read my blog,
I’ve got an idea for ya:
Simply Afrotastic - the online community devoted to people who rock the fro.
The good news? You will only need to invest $400,000 to get this incredible resource launched. I’ve tentatively set the future IPO price of Afrotastic at a modest $17 a share on a $800 million valuation, give or take a few hundred mil. Any takers?
- Shanti
