Just wanted to give a quick update on where The Hydra Project stands.

I believe the code is most all there for the Federated Sites concept which is at the core of the Hydra Project.

I never sought out to operate a massive network of private trackers, and perhaps that has led to THP not being adopted in practice/reality.

If anyone would like to take a look at a Ruby on Rails based, private BitTorrent tracker, with extensions to allow for privacy / survivability in the face of server raids, you are free to peruse the source.

Please get in touch if you’d like to take over development of THP and bring it more into the realm of real-world usage. However, I will no longer be actively maintaining the project.
