39+ Photoshop (PSD) to XHTML / CSS Services

XHTML

The following list comprises over 39 Photoshop to XHTML/CSS cutup services.

They charge anywhere from $297 or so to several thousands (for higher end sites / more pages / etc).

If you have any experience with any of the firms listed below, please drop a note in the comments (with your name & blog address to reduce sockpuppetry). Thanks!

Recommended

The following service is recommended by On Web Apps.

W3 MARKUP’s PSD to HTML / CSS Service, focused on:

* Pixel-precise PSD conversion to CSS / XHTML by hand (W3C Valid)
* CSS / HTML implementation into skins, themes, CMS, shopping carts or
other software
* “Re-slicing” of existing sites (bring old code up-to-date)

The Complete List

List originally compiled by Aloe Studios, who not incidentally, are one of the service providers. Be sure to check em out.

Update: I just worked with Mario from XhtmlMagic.com and he did some excellent work. It was $250 for a rush next day job (24 hour turnaround). His rates can be less if you do not need such a fast turnaround. The XHTML/CSS was just as clean as that on their examples page and worked great in all browsers!

I’ve heard good things about Slice’r'us.

    Shanti,
Thanks for the mention. I originally posted the list in March 2007. I’ve sort of been keeping it updated, but I need to polish it up again. And your post is the motivation I needed to get on it.

As anyone who’s inquired with Aloe Studios lately probably knows, I’ve been incredibly busy as of late and have had to refuse quite a lot of work. I usually refer people to We’ll Code It when I’m too booked, but there are a lot of other good services on this list too.

    Happy New Year!

I would recommend PsdSlicing, they provide a very clean code, also their prices are more then reasonable.

Hi, I’m Stefan from InstantCoding.com and I saw that you didn’t add us on this list. We did coding for Kieron Donoghue, Tyler Cruz, Scott Wainner and many others so make sure to check our site and our portfolio if you are interested in xhtml/css coding. We have affordable prices we offer high quality and quick turnarounds but the most important is that we are offering 100% moneyback guarantee if the client is not satisfied.

    Hi,

I have been working with http://www.psd2website.com for a long time now, they are reliable and provide a good service.

I wish there were more “real” testimonials. Many of them above are from the companies themselves. Some companies, like XHTMLmagic.com only have themselves in their portfolio.

  10. 10 Shanti Braford Jan 24th, 2008 at 2:27 pm

    Aron - very true.

I’d love more real testimonials myself.

I recently hired a newly opened company, http://www.xhtmld.com, and I don’t think there could be a better service out there for the price. Even though they state a 2 day turnaround, I got my coded files in about 10 hours from the time of ordering. And their prices can’t be beaten, at only $99/page.

I’d suggest you give them a go!

    Regards,
    Tom

    Hey

Can you add http://www.xhtmld.com to the list?

    Thanks

  13. 13 Mario Feb 15th, 2008 at 8:31 am

Better now? We’ve added testimonials and showcase to xhtmlmagic.com, as well as the brand new design! (Shanti, I’ve seen your site is online, so I’ve included it in our showcase, hope it’s ok)

    Wonderful list–but don’t forget http://www.img2code.com!

I used InstantCoding.com and they are very good. I’m very satsified with them. They coded a wordpress theme for me and the turnaround time was 12 hours and the quality.. very high. I really recommend them!

A great list! But if you need something a little quicker and free, try http://psd2cssonline.com.

I have worked with a couple services. PSD2HTML does very solid coding (a little slopping with their naming conventions), but they take WAY longer than they say they take. Plus they are in Russia I think so it is hard to communicate with them. Expect it to take at least 3 weeks.

Also have worked with HTMLBlender. They are also good with their code, but when I asked them to do an ecommerce integration, they did a very poor job. Use them only for markup. They are quicker than PSD2HTML, but they also take longer than they say.

Good list, if you are interested in keeping it updated, please add http://www.kwebsoft.com, valid xHTML strict, max 2 days, prices from $90 per page. Thanks!

Nice list. I used smartslicer.com and their quality is great. I’d recommend them.
